What fastening options are best for medical uniforms and scrubs?

You can choose between three fastening options with our badges - pin, magnet, and clip. For staff who wear medical uniforms or scrubs, a common option is the clip fastener as it can easily be attached to a V-neck, breast pocket, waistband, or clipped onto a neckband as needed. As scrubs are typically made of a thinner material, pin fasteners aren’t ideal for these.

However, for general practitioners or staff who are wearing more formal clothing (button up-shirts, coats, etc.) both pin and magnet-backed fasteners are a suitable option.

In addition to our fastening options, you also have the option of having a resin dome included on your badge. Selecting this adds extra protection to the badge and increases its lifespan - it also brings an extra layer of sophistication, which can make it an appealing option for department heads or medical specialists. Of course, you can choose to not have a resin dome, and this will result in a more affordable badge that will be produced and delivered to you faster.

Are badges safe to wear in clinical and hospital environments?

Generally, badges are safe to wear in most clinical and hospital environments, especially in general practices and more common areas of hospitals. Certain materials, such as metallic pins or magnetic fasteners, can’t be worn in specific areas as they can interfere with equipment (such as MRI machines). Otherwise, they’re typically well-suited to the healthcare environment.
